What is"Alles gurgelt!" about?

Regular testing is an important tool to fight the coronavirus. With "Everything gargles!" there is the possibility to be regularly tested for the coronavirus free of charge by means of PCR test procedures.

How does testing work in schools?

The more regularly your child participates in the free "Everything Gargles!" test programme, the safer everyday school life and leisure time will be. This protects your child and the people around you. To participate in the "Everything gurgles! test programme in schools, a signed consent form must be handed in at school.

There are two ways to get test kits for your child:

  • Option 1) Registration at lead-horizon.org/public. Pick up the test sets with your personal pick-up code at any BIPA shop in Vienna.
  • Option 2) Test sets are also available at school.

If your child is already registered for "Alles gurgelt!" and is already testing at home, then also enter the school and class information in the web app. You can do this when you enter your personal information.

For a safe school day, your child can either gargle with the web app at home or rinse the saliva in their mouth at school under teacher supervision. Drop-off boxes at school are emptied Monday - Thursday at 8.30am and optionally Friday between 1.30pm and 4pm. The samples are then analysed in the Lifebrain COVID laboratory.

The test result is usually available at the beginning of the next school day at the latest. Alternatively, the samples can be handed in at any Viennese REWE branch (BIPA, BILLA, BILLA PLUS, Penny, petrol stations with a REWE shop) from Monday to Sunday.

Please note the collection times of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. there. If you enter an e-mail address in the web app or in the consent form for your child at school, you will receive an information e-mail directly from the Lifebrain COVID laboratory about the test result. In order to retrieve your child's test results, it is also necessary to provide a valid mobile phone number. The school is always informed about all test results of the pupils. This also makes the test control easier and the school day safer.

If this is the first test of a school child, you will be asked about the infection status, whether the child has already had Corona in the last 2 months. Next, you will be asked for the sample number. You can either enter this manually or use the scan function. The linking of the data is now complete. You can start the next link directly from here or leave the "Test" area.
